OUR SERVICES
But sometimes, certain orthodontic problems may get worse if left untreated, so we need to perform early orthodontic treatment. In which case, we’ll carry out a short period of orthodontic treatment to make future treatments much simpler.
We’ve got expert staff trained in all the latest techniques, plus modern technology, to ensure your orthodontic treatments are performed efficiently and professionally, whilst making sure you feel looked after the entire way.
Braces are probably the most well-known type of orthodontic treatment, and they’re still the best way to straighten your teeth. Braces are usually used once all your permanent teeth have come in.
We offer two types of braces:
Metal braces
Most commonly used, metal braces are temporarily glued to the surface of your teeth and they act as helpful guides, guiding your teeth into the correct position.
These days, metal braces are much smaller and less obvious than they used to be – so no more worries about a mouthful of metal train tracks. We use small elastic rings around each bracket to hold the wire securely in place, and offer them in a great range of colours so that you can add a splash of personality to your smile.
Clear braces
Made out of ceramic material, clear braces are tooth-coloured meaning they’re less noticeable and blend in with your teeth – so your friends and families might not even notice you’ve got braces. We believe in the great benefits of braces to get that straight, lovely smile you’re after and we’ll help you decide which option is best for you.
If you’d love straight teeth but aren’t keen on the idea of braces, we offer Invisalign aligners. It’s an almost invisible way to straighter teeth, using a series of custom-made clear aligners.
The idea is that there will be a small, incremental amount of tooth movement with each set of aligners, which you’ll change every 7-10 days.
They’re also removable, for easy eating, drinking and tooth brushing.
Invisalign aligners are great for both teens and adults, and we’re happy to help you decide if Invisalign aligners are right for you.
Functional appliances are an upper and lower plate, designed to move the lower jaw forward when you bite down. Sometimes they’re used to gently pull forward the upper jaw to correct an under-bite.
We try to use these on growing children so that we can make the most of the growth potential.
We’ve had many years’ experience using functional appliances successfully, helping to create confident, healthy smiles. We’d love to hear and answer any of your questions.
We use the same orthodontic services for adults as we do for children, it just takes slightly longer for adults.
We know it’s a big decision, so we’ll work with you to go through all your different treatment options making sure you understand which is the best option for you. We believe it’s never too late to get that beautiful smile.
If orthodontic treatment alone won’t provide you with the best results – like if there’s a big difference between the size, shape or position of your jaws  – we combine it with corrective jaw surgery. We don’t perform this until we’re sure all your jaw growth has finished.
Using all the latest technology and techniques, we’re really experienced in surgical orthodontics  and we’ll make the whole process simple and stress-free.
We’re with you every step of the way, from answering all your questions to our expert pre- and post-operative care.
